Appointments with Staff

Parents are encouraged to maintain regular contact with class teachers. It is preferable to make an appointment to see the classroom teacher or other members of staff to ensure that quality conversation can be had to benefit both the parent and the staff member. It is not ideal to try to engage in detailed conversation with a classroom teacher as they are beginning their day with the students. Appointments with staff can be made via the office on Ph. 3372 3408 or by emailing the school at pinala@bne.catholic.edu.au. If staff are unavailable to speak with you, please leave a message and the teacher will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible.

Information and Permission Notes

On many occasions during your child’s schooling, there will be opportunities for excursions away from school. A school excursion or camp is a learning experience designed to motivate students and provide first-hand experiences that could not otherwise be provided in the classroom or at school. School excursions and camps are an important part of our curriculum and are regarded as compulsory. Appropriately planned and supervised camps and excursions assist greatly in the students’ understanding of the community in which they live. All permission notes are sent home via email and parents and guardians are required to provide an email address at the time of enrolment.

Website and BCE Connect App

The St Mark's website provides an overview of our school for both parents and the local community, but it is strongly recommended that all parents and caregivers actively check and log into BCE Connect, a secure application where St Mark's posts Student's Academic Reports via The Learning Dashboard, NAPLAN Results, important notices and documents and videos or photos of activities at school.

BCE Connect also provides quick access to absentee notifications, and tuckshop, important notices and news, direct links to documents including the school weekly newsletter and more straight to your smart device.
